In my humble opinion

Well well, how are you and you and you. Oh and you too.
Anyway, if you have noticed the title of my post, you will somehow guess that I want to share my opinion on something and that is fans.

Okay, before ranting. Here's something more boring. My life.

Good news first.
My e-pal has replied. *cheers* I really thought that she had forgotten about me and sometimes, I wonder if something had happened to her. Then, she replied and my guess was right, she was busy with her studies. *cries in relief* Nah, I didn't cry. However, I sort of gave up waiting for her e-mail that when she sent me one, it took me close to 4hours to check the new e-mail and realised that it was from her. I hope she will do well for her tests.

I'm making progress in Japanese. I've managed to learn Hiragana but I'm still far from being able to read something. I hope I will be able to master it someday. It's really useful since many Japanese are coming to Singapore to study and start businesses. I can even be a translator for magazines or shows some day. How useful is that?

Bad news now.
I'm getting my A level results next week. I'm really worried.

Okay, I don't have much to update for now. All the best to those who are taking their results too. Ganbatte!

Click read more if you have nothing much to do. It's really long.

No, no. I'm not referring to the one that keeps one cool and cause our hair to fly in different directions. I'm referring to the people who scream the names of their idols at a concert, the people who spent thousands of dollars to support their idols, the people who will do anything, absolutely anything to support the ones they love.

After describing it, I realised that I can't call myself a fan anymore. *sigh*

Anyway, my point is that I find it really ridiculous when one's support for his or her idols go to a higher level. Yes, we buy their albums to show our love for them (and to let their companies earn monaye.) We go to their concerts to see them (and let the companies earn even more monaye.) We buy the merchandises, the magazines etcetcetc to support them (and let the companies as well as other related companies earn monaye. )
Okay, before I get thrashed for saying such nonsense. I have to let you know that yes, being an idol is one of the many available jobs out there and without fans, these cute, hot, pretty, sexy, talented (and so on) people will not have monaye and then they will be jobless. Hence fans are important.

However, being a fan does not mean swearing and thrashing and ranting on facebook. Neither does it mean spending thousands and thousands of bucks to support them all the way. It definitely does not mean neglecting one's studies, one's religion, one's responsibilities and just go nuts about the idols you support. Maybe it's just me but I can never part with my money so easily. Yes, I might go to the concerts if I can afford to. I might buy the albums if I have enough cash. I might actually consider buying the magazines which have my favourite idols on the cover or for the stickers or for the posters.

Well you get my point. Maybe it's because I'm working now and it's not easy to get the same amount of money I used to have when I was a student. I felt richer then. I should choose to be student for my career. Plus I didn't have the opportunity to spend a lot so I had more money but now, I feel so broke that I have to think 3 times, 4 times or as many times as possible before I get something I want. Darn it. So I definitely can't just buy a plane ticket to some country, book a hotel there and of course pay for the concert tickets to watch the people perform. It's impossible. I can't afford to do that just for the concert, I don't even bear to.

No, I'm not supposed to be talking about money. Anyway, I realised some fans really do go overboard to show their loves for the stars like throwing their gifts towards them, quarreling with fans of other groups, going to a concert in the midst of one's exams, stalking the stars and basically, living as if these stars are their lives. I'm sorry but being somehow more realistic nowadays, I'm more concerned about how to make my life a more successful one and that does not include having my life revolve around a particular group or person.

That does not mean that I no longer support HSJ or BTR. I still do. I am actually learning Japanese so that I can read the articles on the magazines one day. I don't really bear to buy it now cause I don't understand 99.9% of the content. However, I might make it an exception and get one to distract myself before I get my results next Friday. :] Okay so my point is that, people, we all have a life. Those stars do too. They use their talents ( or looks) to earn money in the entertainment world. We have to make a living someday too and we can't do that just by supporting these stars. Well, unless you do earn a profit somehow. If not, wake up. It's not wrong to support these people but there's a limit to it.

I should really copy and paste this whole post to my friend.

Well, I'm off for now. Till next time.
